Precisely what I feared when Illinois became bowl eligible Saturday. Looks like Tim Beckman will be back for the Fighting Illini football team. I think this actually sets the program back a few years by Beckman sticking around.

Took him 3 years to get the program BACK to 6-6, you know, the way it was when Zook left in 2011. Zook faced 4 ranked teams in 2011 vs Beckman’s 2 in 2014. Hope I’m wrong, but I won’t be holding my breath.
