For best overall performance, cost, and cool factor, do I….

1. Buy a 2010 or newer Chevy/GMC 4WD pickup.

2. Rebuild/renovate my 97 Chevy Z71 (motor, trans, paint, etc)

3. Sell my 97 and buy a square body 80s Chevy 4WD and rebuild/renovate that one.

Ford folks feel free to post your opinion too. However, save the “buy a Ford” comments. We don’t have time for that shit, this is a serious conversation. 😀
