I do my best to support local businesses, but some of them make it damn hard. I either get reamed on the price and/or horrible customer service. I do expect some price premium for the convenience of a local business.

Recent example: tried to get a tire patched locally. Their price: $36/tire & couldn’t promise it would be done by the end of the day. Big box store: $10/tire done in two hours. C’mon man. Maybe I just have bad luck?
