Lowe’s Replacement Plan

Last year I bought a set of cordless power tools from Lowe’s and the light in the kit stopped working. Normally I don’t buy the warranties (or in this case “Protection Plan”) cause I think they’re a ripoff, but this time I did. I called them last week and today I got a Lowe’s gift card for the price of the ENTIRE set (over $200), not just light, no questions asked. Needless to say, the $25 I paid for the protection plan was worth every penny. Just FYI to anybody buying that kind of stuff.

And, actually, it was a “replacement plan” cause it was under $200 before tax, but the protection plans work more or less the same way I believe. The replacement plan was good for 2 years after manufacturer warranty and paid the full amount including tax which was over $200. I bought it a year and a half ago.
