Robin Hood
I’ve had a few Robin Hoods at 20 yards and closer on flat ground. Today, I cracked one at 30 yards from an elevated platform. The groups at 40 and 50 yards were decent and should get better with new vanes. Fun day of archery! Bring on bow season!

Maintenance
First time hauling with the new rig today. Unfortunately it was just for a maintenance visit and not a riding trip.

Education Funding
Good read and the money quote of the article: “At most, about a quarter of the increase in college tuition since 2000 can be attributed to rising faculty salaries, improved amenities and administrative bloat. By comparison, the decline in state support accounts for about three-quarters of the rising cost of college.” https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/fancy-dorms-arent-the-main-reason-tuition-is-skyrocketing/?fbclid=IwAR3bzT5ZNiBf5GPs8ixd-fGvYrJTe7PLtb_7uQwWSaTnEY3USUAB2AduUAk

Kaepernick Continued
I know people are tired of hearing about Kap, and I don’t blame you. However, I think there’s been an interesting transition on this topic. He’s donating a million dollars to the issues for which he has been trying to bring awareness. He also met with a former Green Beret Nate Boyer. Boyer suggested he…

Lovie Smith
I watched this segment on ESPN yesterday morning. Awesome having ESPN on our campus to talk football! I think Lovie is a great coach and I’m so happy to have him coaching the Illini. We’ve had a slew of nice recruits commit recently and I haven’t been this excited about Illinois football in a long…

Chris Carpenter
I’d have to say that Chris Carpenter is my generation’s Bob Gibson. He’d be a guaranteed Hall of Fame pitcher if he had just a few of those seasons back from injury. His favorite game is the same as the rest of us…that 2011 NLCS duel with Roy Halladay. Epic game. Cool to see him…

Kneeling
I think Kap is a phenomenal athlete and I think it’s great he’s got the courage to stand up for his beliefs on such an important issue. However, I wish he’d chosen another route. While you’re making a protest for racial inequality, you’re also disrespecting all people of color who have served in the military,…

Colin Kaepernick
I don’t agree with his choice of protest, but 100% respect him for voicing his opinion. Kap is a much deeper dude than people realize. He was adopted and raised by white parents who encouraged him to embrace his identity as a black man in this country. He has an interesting perspective that shouldn’t be…

Friday Night Lights
Friday Night Lights about to kick off for many schools today. You dig high school football, and a little nostalgia, “Home Game” by Cole Swindell is worth a listen. Cole Swindell is right there with BG as my favorite country music artist.
