  • Drupal 7 Upgrade

The Drupal 7 upgrade of my site has been completed.  A few hiccups along the way, but overall, not too shabby. I’d still rather upgrade a WordPress site over a Drupal site, but for the extra horsepower you get out of Drupal, I guess it is worthwhile. I’m going to post a few thoughts, suggestions,…

  • Temporary Look

Well, you’ll notice I’m rolling a new theme on the site.  Don’t worry, this theme business is only temporary as we make the port from Drupal 6 to 7.  Hopefully you’ll only see this theme for a day or two, then we’ll be back to regularly scheduled programming.

  • 2010 NFL Playoffs : Day 1

First off, what a great set of games for the NFL.  Both games were really good, competitive, and had some nice off the field story lines to go along in each case.  The Seahawks with worst record in playoff history playing the defending Super Bowl champs, and the Peyton Manning/Rex Ryan chess match made for…

  • Review: WordPress Android App

I really like the WordPress Android app.  I’m actually typing this post from the app right now on my Droid 2. The app gives you the option to start a new blog, add a wordpress.com blog, or to add your own self-hosted wordpress blog. I chose the later option for the purpose of this review.…

  • Reviews

I’ve decided I’m going to start posting product and service reviews here on the site. Why? Well, between work and home, I buy and try a lot of hardware, software, and services. Plus, after buying or trying a certain “thing”, I always have a ton of stuff clogging up my brain.  Putting these reviews on…

  • AT&T to Verizon: Part I – Why?

I’ve been an AT&T customer for over 10 years.  I can honestly say that I’ve had extremely good service for a majority of that time period.  I never really thought about switching service providers completely.  I did switch one of my lines over to another provider for a year or two, but I always maintained…

  • Winter Madness

I sure wish the NCAA would quit lying to everyone that “it’s not about money“, and just own up to the fact that there is absolutely, positively no way that the BCS system is better than a playoff. The Most Important Thing… Related to the BCS (and college sports in general)…Education.  I’ve heard anti-playoff folks…

  • Distractions

Did you ever have parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, or some other family member who’s house was always spotless?  I know I did.  I always thought it was funny too.  I even knew some people that had one of those “plastic” rooms where all the furniture was covered in plastic to prevent stains.  You were never…

  • Myspace’s Place

Myspace, I know what you’re thinking, that’s sooo 2007.  Sure, the Myspace enrollment numbers went into the tank and Facebook has become the social network of choice.  However, I actually think Myspace has found it’s niche…MUSIC.  And, to a much broader extent, content delivery.  Myspace has always been superior to Facebook in it’s music handling…

  • Mindless Voters

Here is one of my biggest political complaints….mindless voters!  As mid-term elections approach, and political campaigns get more and more cut-throat, we really get to see it all.  My biggest complaint about election season has to be the politicians themselves.   But, if you read the title, that’s not what this post is about.  Nope,…
