They were so scared they were pushing each other out of the way to get out of the house. Running so fast they were falling down!

I thought it was cool that her husband had the camera installed and had trained her to use the gun and everything was properly licensed.

I think the story also does a great job of illustrating the thought process of a criminal. Do they typically steal from police? Muscle bound dudes or people who look like they can defend themselves? Nope, they prey on the weak, easy targets.
